Terms of Service

Last updated: June 20, 2026

Welcome to VectorCoach (“VectorCoach,” “we,” “us”), an online platform that helps students learn and practice for math competitions with an AI-powered coach. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME]. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use VectorCoach.

1. Eligibility & accounts

VectorCoach is currently offered in an invite-only beta and requires a valid invitation code to register. The service is intended for students preparing for math competitions and the parents/guardians who support them.

Children under 13.VectorCoach is used by children. If you are under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country), you may use VectorCoach only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Parents are responsible for supervising their child’s use of the service.

You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for one person, and your credentials are non-transferable.

2. Subscriptions, fees & credits

Some features require a paid subscription. The subscription is billed monthly and renews automatically until cancelled. Certain AI features that run on our servers consume usage metered against a prepaid credit balance, which you can top up subject to a minimum amount. If you bring your own AI provider API key (“BYOK”), you are billed directly by that provider for your own usage and are responsible for their fees.

Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store your full card details. You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future renewals but, except where required by law, fees and credits already paid are non-refundable. Prices may change on reasonable notice.

3. Your content & uploads

VectorCoach lets you upload materials (for example, PDFs or images of problems) to be processed by AI. You retain ownership of what you upload. You grant us a limited license to host and process that content solely to provide the service to you.

You are responsible for the rights to anything you upload. Do not upload content you do not have permission to use, including copyrighted competition materials you are not licensed to reproduce. You must not upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • misuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service;
  • share your account or invitation code in violation of these Terms;
  • use the service to cheat in an actual competition or to violate any rules or law;
  • attempt to access other users’ data or our systems without authorization.

5. AI coaching — no guarantee of accuracy

VectorCoach uses AI models to generate hints, explanations, and practice content. AI can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Content is provided for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for a qualified teacher. Always verify important answers independently. We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI output.

6. Third-party services

The service relies on third parties (such as cloud hosting, payments, email, and AI model providers). Your use may also be subject to their terms. If you use BYOK, your use of that provider is governed by your agreement with them, not us.

7. Intellectual property, trademarks & affiliation

VectorCoach and its content, features, and software are owned by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] and protected by applicable laws. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for your own learning only. You may not copy, republish, resell, or use any part of the service or its content to train machine-learning models.

Original content. Our practice problems and explanations are original materials that we author or generate independently. They are not reproductions of official competition problems or answer keys.

Trademarks & non-affiliation.“AMC,” “AMC 8,” “AMC 10,” “AMC 12,” “AIME,” and similar competition names are trademarks of their respective owners (for example, the Mathematical Association of America). VectorCoach is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those organizations. We use these names only to describe the contest format our materials help you prepare for.

Not a substitute for official registration. VectorCoach helps you practice; it is not a way to register for any actual competition. You are responsible for registering for real contests through their official organizers.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or other users. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time by contacting us.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, including any guarantee of uninterrupted access, score accuracy, or learning outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict-of- law rules. Before bringing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and try to resolve the matter informally.
